Three roaming is now organised under Go Roam, and the price you pay depends on the band your destination falls into, the date you joined or upgraded, and whether your plan has roaming built in. For a family, the question is not just the daily charge, but how many phones will pay it.
This guide sets out Three's Go Roam prices as published on 4 October 2026, works out the cost for one, two and four lines over ten days in Spain, Turkey and the USA, and compares them with a family travel eSIM such as the Sirocco Turkey eSIM. Three Go Roam in 2026: bands and daily charges
Three splits its Go Roam destinations into three bands. With Go Roam, you can use your UK minutes, texts and up to 12GB of your data allowance:

Three says these charges start from 1 April 2026 and are subject to annual price increases. Customers who joined or upgraded earlier have lower charges, listed on Three's Go Roam page, and some plans, such as Three Your Way Value and Complete, have inclusive roaming or Daily Go Roam passes built in. Lite plans and older Advanced plans do not.
Three Go Roam passes: prices on 4 October 2026
Instead of paying the daily charge, you can buy a Go Roam pass. Three says a pass can give you up to two days of roaming free compared with daily charges.

The 12GB fair use limit applies per month on Pay Monthly, in any Go Roam destination.
Three roaming in Spain: Go Roam in Europe
For ten days in Spain on a plan without roaming built in:
- Daily charge only: 10 x £2.75 = £27.50 per line
- 14-day pass: £24 per line
- 7-day pass plus 3-day pass: £12 + £5 = £17 per line
Combining a 7-day and a 3-day pass is the cheapest total from Three's published prices for exactly ten days.
Three roaming in Turkey: Around the World Extra
Turkey falls into Go Roam Around the World Extra. For ten days:
- Daily charge only: 10 x £8 = £80 per line
- 14-day pass: £84 per line
- 7-day pass plus 3-day pass: £42 + £17.50 = £59.50 per line (two 5-day passes come to the same amount)
Three roaming in the USA: Around the World
The USA is in Go Roam Around the World. For ten days:
- Daily charge only: 10 x £8 = £80 per line
- 14-day pass: £60 per line
- 7-day pass plus 3-day pass: £30 + £12.50 = £42.50 per line
What a family pays: 1, 2 and 4 lines over 10 days
The table assumes each traveller has their own Three line without roaming built in, and uses the cheapest pass combination calculated above.
For Sirocco, the figure is the cheapest plan with at least 10GB and at least 10 days, multiplied by the number of travellers, with the 10% group discount from three eSIMs in the same order. Compare the two columns for your own trip, bearing in mind what each product includes:
- Calls and texts: Go Roam unlocks your UK minutes and texts as well as data. Sirocco is data only, with no local number.
- Data: Go Roam uses your own allowance, up to 12GB a month abroad. Each Sirocco traveller has a fixed data plan of their own.
- Built-in roaming: if your Three plan already includes Go Roam passes, your extra cost may be nil.
- One order: Sirocco is a single purchase with one eSIM per traveller. Each person can then switch to a different plan, a smaller one for a child, for example.

When Three is the better choice
- Your plan has roaming or Daily Go Roam passes built in for your destination.
- You make a lot of ordinary calls, which a data-only eSIM does not include.
- Your trip is short: a 3-day Go Roam in Europe pass at £5 covers a long weekend.
- Some family members travel with plans that include roaming and others do not: you can mix both approaches.
How to avoid Three roaming charges with a family eSIM
If you use a travel eSIM for data, you keep your Three number and plan.
Before you leave
- Check each phone is eSIM compatible: dial *#06# and look for an EID. The compatibility page lists the main models.
- Buy one eSIM per traveller in a single order.
- Each traveller receives their installation link by SMS or email. Install it at home on Wi-Fi.
When you arrive
- Three line: keep it switched on for calls and texts, with data roaming turned off so that mobile data does not trigger the daily roaming charge.
- Sirocco line: select it for mobile data and turn data roaming on. See our guide to turning on data roaming.
- iPhone: keep the Three line selected for iMessage and FaceTime.
Your number and WhatsApp stay the same. Calls and texts reach your Three line while it is on, and Three may charge for some of them under its own terms. Read more about keeping your number.
Children's phones
Check first that the child's phone supports eSIM. In Kids Mode, the child's screen shows no prices, no account is opened in the child's name and the parent manages the eSIM. A smaller plan is often enough, and you can top up one traveller later without reinstalling. More on the kids eSIM page.
Check your Three plan first
Before you travel, log in to My3 or the Three app for each line and check:
- whether Go Roam is built into the plan or included as passes;
- the date you joined or upgraded, which sets your daily charge;
- your Spend Cap: Three warns that if it is set to zero or too low, you may not be able to roam.
Three also texts you on arrival with the charges for your destination. Add up the passes needed for every phone in the family, then compare with a single family order.
