How does a travel eSIM work?
An eSIM is a digital SIM card. You install it before you leave, and it connects you on arrival. With Sirocco: one eSIM per person, one purchase for the group.

What is an eSIM?
- A digital SIM card, built into the phone: nothing to insert, nothing to wait for in the post.
- It is added to your usual line, which you keep for calls and texts.
- Sirocco plan: Data only.
- Your phone must accept eSIMs: dial *#06#, an EID number should appear.
Before you leave
- Search together: destination, trip length, number of travellers. The group price appears straight away.
- Confirm each phone: the *#06# test takes 30 seconds.
- Pay once: total, price per person and discount shown before you pay.
- Everyone receives their personal link (text message, email or shared by you) and installs their eSIM over Wi-Fi, in about 3 minutes.
On arrival
- Choose the Sirocco line for mobile data.
- Turn on data roaming on the Sirocco line only.
- Plan start: The eSIM activates the first time it connects to a network at your destination; the plan runs from that moment. You can install it before you leave.
During the trip
- Everyone sees their own usage and end date.
- Data used up: the connection stops, nothing extra is charged.
- You top up the eSIM concerned from the trip dashboard, with no reinstallation.
- A problem? A real person replies: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm (Paris time).
Your usual number
Your usual line stays active for calls and texts, if your plan allows it. WhatsApp keeps your number: messages go through the Sirocco line's data.
After the trip
Each whole unused GB becomes €0.50 of credit for your next trip, up to €15.00 per trip, valid for 12 months.
As a group
- One person pays, everyone installs their own eSIM.
- You see who is ready (link sent, opened, eSIM installed, connected), never their codes or detailed usage.
- Child profile: the child sees their data and asks for more, with no prices shown. You decide.

Do travellers need to create an account?
No. Each traveller installs their eSIM from their personal link, without creating an account.
Can I install the eSIM several days before leaving?
Yes, it is even recommended: over Wi-Fi, with time to spare. The eSIM activates the first time it connects to a network at your destination; the plan runs from that moment. You can install it before you leave.
How quickly are the eSIMs delivered?
After payment, the eSIMs are delivered usually in under 2 minutes. Each installation link is ready in your trip dashboard.
Can I buy an eSIM for someone else?
Yes. You pay once for the whole group; each traveller receives their personal link. You see their installation status, never their codes or usage.
What happens when the data runs out?
The connection stops; nothing extra is charged. You top up the eSIM concerned from the trip dashboard, with no reinstallation.
