How to sell the eSIM to your customer

Three stages, with lines you can use word for word. It is all waiting in your space too, with a counter poster and an email ready to send.

1Before selling, test their phone

1Have them dial*#06#As if making a call: the information appears straight away.
2An EID number appears: the phone accepts eSIMsNo EID: it does not accept them. Do not sell an eSIM for this phone.
3It must not be locked to an operatorA phone bought with a plan may be reserved for that operator.

iPhone, Samsung, Google Pixel: the exact steps are in the Help guide and on the Comparison screen. The test takes 30 seconds.

2Offer the eSIM when you confirm the booking, with the ticket

“I can add an eSIM for your trip: 5 GB for 7 days for €11.90. You install it before you leave, you keep your number and WhatsApp, and you know the price in advance.”

3Answer their questions

“My plan works abroad.”Let's check together for Japan. If it is not included, Verizon automatically charges $2.05 / MB.
“I'll have Wi-Fi at the hotel.”The eSIM is for everything else: the taxi on arrival, the map in the street, WhatsApp everywhere.
“I'll buy a SIM when I get there.”You would have to find a shop on arrival and change your SIM. This way, everything is ready before you leave, and you keep your number.
“Do I keep my number?”Yes. The eSIM is for data. Your number and WhatsApp do not change.
“What if it doesn't work?”An assistant answers 7 days a week in your language, and I remain your contact.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a subscription?

No. Registration is free and you only pay for the eSIMs you order.

I am an independent travel agent. Can I sign up?

Yes. Enter your registration number: the VAT number is optional.

Can I try it before topping up?

Yes. We give you €10 of credit when your account is opened, once per company, to buy a real eSIM.

Who sets the price for my customer?

You do. We suggest a resale price that leaves you a margin, and you are free to change it. You collect payment from your customer yourself, for example on your card terminal: Sirocco does not ask them for any payment, and this price does not appear in the email they receive.

What invoice will I receive?

An invoice for every top-up, in your company's name. Each purchase then appears in your statement, with its amount excl. VAT and the remaining balance.

How does VAT work?

Your balance is excl. VAT. In France, 20% is added to the top-up. In the European Union, no VAT with a valid number, 20% without a number. Outside the European Union, no VAT.

Does my balance expire?

It stays valid for 12 months after your last transaction, top-up or purchase. We let you know before the date.

What currency does my account use?

The currency you choose when signing up, from those on the site. You can change it in Settings.

My customer made a typo in the address or received nothing?

Correct the email and resend the link from your space, at no charge.

What if a delivery fails?

The amount for the eSIM returns to your balance automatically.

Can a sent eSIM be cancelled?

No, an order is final: the eSIM is bought as soon as it is sent.

Who is behind Sirocco?

Mocom SAS, a French company founded in 2013. Mocom has also run Sift since 2015, with more than 30,000 customers over 12 months.
