This page compares five travel eSIM providers for a family of four spending a week in Morocco: Sirocco, Airalo, Saily, Yesim and Holafly. It is written mainly for families travelling from the UK, whether you are heading to Marrakech, the coast or to see relatives. All prices and features were read on each provider's official website on 4 October 2026, from France, so prices are shown in euros. If you browse from the UK, a site may show pounds or a different amount.
Please note that this page is published by Sirocco, one of the providers compared. Our own plans are on the Morocco eSIM page. We have tried to keep the comparison factual and to state other providers' strengths plainly. We have not run any field test in Morocco.
How we compared Morocco eSIMs
Sources. Only the official websites and help pages of each provider, consulted on 4 October 2026. Each one is listed in the sources of this page.
One scenario for everyone. A family of four, seven days in Morocco, 5 GB per person. That matches everyday use (messages, maps, social media and photos) at around 0.7 GB a day. For each provider we took the plan closest to that scenario and say exactly which one: volume, validity, displayed unit price, and a total calculated as four times the unit price we recorded.
Criteria. The price for four people; whether each person can have a different plan within one order; hotspot (sharing a connection); how each traveller receives and installs their eSIM; support channels and hours; any child mode or control over purchases; when validity starts; and which networks are shown.
What we did not measure. Real speeds and network quality. We did no on-the-ground testing, so nothing here says which provider connects better in a given town or riad.
"Not recorded" means we did not find the information on the official site that day. It does not mean the feature does not exist.

Plans per person and price
At Sirocco, each traveller has their own eSIM and their own plan in a single order, so a teenager can have a larger plan and a younger child a smaller one. From three eSIMs, 10% comes off the total, shown before payment. Data is never pooled: if one person runs out, only their connection stops, nothing extra is charged, and the organiser can top up that one eSIM without touching the others. Yesim announces 10% off from two eSIMs, and its MultiSIM keeps up to ten eSIMs in one account. Saily's Family Plan works differently: one plan shared among up to five people, which suits families who prefer a single pot of data (its unlimited plans cannot be shared).
Hotspot
This is a real strength for Saily, which presents hotspot as unlimited on its pages. Airalo allows it where the device and network support it, Yesim says it depends on the operator, and Holafly allows 1 GB a day on these plans (more through its paid subscription). At Sirocco, hotspot depends on the offer and the country, and the offer page tells you before you pay. Wherever hotspot works, the shared data comes out of the plan of the person sharing, and it drains that phone's battery.
Support
Airalo, Saily, Yesim and Holafly all offer 24/7 chat; Yesim states an average response time of about five minutes, and Holafly adds WhatsApp. Sirocco answers on weekdays, 9am to 6pm Paris time, by form and email, usually within two working hours, in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German and Portuguese. If you want help at any hour of the day or night, the others offer more.
Setting up phones for everyone
Sirocco is built around the organiser: you enter each traveller's number, and they receive a personal installation link by text message when you choose to send it. Text messages can go to UK, EU, Swiss, French and Moroccan numbers, which helps if relatives in Morocco are joining the trip; otherwise the link goes by email or you share it yourself. You can see whether each eSIM is installed and connected, but never another adult's installation codes or detailed usage.
Which eSIM suits your family?
Young children without a phone. They may not need an eSIM at all if a parent's hotspot works on the plan you choose. Check the hotspot terms above, and remember that the parent's own data and battery pay for it.
Children with their own phone. First check the phone accepts eSIMs: dial *#06# and look for an EID number. A phone bought on contract may be locked to its network, so get it unlocked before you travel. Sirocco's child mode lets a child see their remaining data and end date in the app, and ask for more data without seeing any price; the parent accepts, changes the amount or declines, and the request expires after 24 hours. It is not parental control: it does not filter sites, show browsing or locate the child.
Teenagers. Heavy video and video calls use about 1.5 GB a day, so 5 GB will not last a week. Either give them a larger plan (at Sirocco, 10 GB for seven days is €19.20) or look at the unlimited table.
Longer stays with family. Summer visits to relatives often last several weeks. Saily plans from 3 GB and all Yesim plans already run for 30 days. At Sirocco, 10 GB for 15 days is €20.00 and 10 GB for 30 days is €20.30; unused data becomes credit for your next trip.
Morocco plus Spain or another country. Check that one plan covers every country on your route. At Sirocco, Morocco and Europe are separate offers.
Morocco practicalities: networks, installing and Wi-Fi
Morocco's regulator ANRT lists three mobile operators: Maroc Telecom (Itissalat Al-Maghrib), Orange Maroc (Médi Telecom) and inwi (Wana Corporate), with 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G networks. Coverage can vary between cities and remote areas, and we have not measured it.
Your UK plan only covers Morocco if your operator includes it. The EU's "roam like at home" rules do not cover Morocco and no longer apply to the UK.
Install every eSIM at home on Wi-Fi a few days before you fly, and keep the travel line switched off until you land. At Sirocco, validity starts on first connection in Morocco; the table above shows when it starts at the other providers. On arrival, switch the eSIM on, select it for mobile data and turn on data roaming for that line only. Do not delete an installed eSIM: it cannot always be reinstalled. Use hotel or riad Wi-Fi for big downloads such as offline maps and films.
The eSIMs compared here are data only. Keep your usual line for calls and texts, and for emergencies: the UK government lists 150 (ambulance and fire), 190 (police) and 177 (gendarmerie).
To size each person's plan, try the data calculator, and see our family eSIM page and kids eSIM page for how ordering for several travellers works.
