How data sharing works

Each traveller has their own eSIM and their own plan. There is no shared pot: one traveller's data is never used by another.
Who uses what

Each eSIM only uses its own plan: 10 GB for an adult, 5 GB for a child, for example. The amount is chosen traveller by traveller when you order.

Up to what limit

A traveller's limit is their plan's data allowance. Once it is reached, their connection stops; the group's other eSIMs carry on as normal.

Who sets it

The organiser, by choosing each person's plan before paying. During the trip, they can increase a traveller's allowance with a targeted top-up, when the plan allows it.

When the data runs out

The traveller sees “Data used up” in their guide. The organiser is informed in the trip dashboard and can top up the eSIM in question: the top-up only applies to that eSIM. Without a top-up, the eSIM stays installed but no longer transfers data until the end of the trip.

Update delay

Usage is reported by the partner network, usually with a delay of a few minutes to a few hours. When it isn't available, the trip dashboard shows “Data not available right now”, never “0 GB”. The “Refresh” button checks again.

What each person sees
The organiser

The status of each eSIM (to install, installed, connected, data used up) and the top-ups they pay for. Never another adult's detailed usage, installation codes or contact details.

Each traveller

Their own usage, expiry date and installation guide. They can't see the other eSIMs or the contact details of the person who paid. For a child, only control over purchases rests with the parent: no screen claims to monitor what they look at.

Hotspot (tethering) · This depends on the plan and the country: each plan's details state it before payment. When it is available, shared data counts towards the plan of the traveller who is sharing.
